Mason on Mariposa – Building 1

San Francisco, CA

A MEETING OF TWO MINDS  Located at the confluence of two neighborhoods with distinct physical and cultural characteristics, the Mason is conceived as a meeting of the left and right brains – the technical and the creative, machine precision and the hand of the craftsman.

ON A MACRO SCALE  This mixed-use building is part of a larger master plan designed by others utilizing varying architectural expressions. Brick, framed openings, and solid architecture provide a clear urban edge to Jackson Playground and frame the entry to a new greenway.

WHIMSY  Custom details at eye level provide a rich pedestrian experience. Bespoke brick forms were commissioned, adding texture and playfulness to the building façade.
