830 Eddy
San Francisco, CA
INSPIRED BY EARLY 20TH CENTURY  Located adjacent to buildings with sparse ornamentation, ordered fenestration, simple massing and distinct base, and middle and top partis, the design seeks to complement the history of the neighborhood and its contribution to San Francisco urbanism.
HIGH HOPES  A high density for the lot area is achieved by exceeding base density through utilizing transferred development rights, maximizing available height with 13 stories, incorporating creative unit types to take advantage of unique site dimensions, and negotiating light easements from a neighboring property.
HAVE IT YOUR WAY  Consistent with our experience solving complex problems and satisfying multiple stakeholders, the design works around an existing Burger King drive-through lane that enters and exits the property due to an existing easement on the site.
