UC Merced Promise Student Housing

A TRUE COLLABORATION between UC Merced and Merced Community College, as well as a Design Build Collaboration of Build Group, BAR Architects & HGW Architecture, the complex will provide 488-beds of affordable student housing along with communal areas, Resource Center and other support services to help foster integration for incoming Merced Community College and UC Merced students.
MASS TIMBER Featuring a mass timber hybrid structure, the design prioritizes healthy materials and energy-efficient technologies and is targeting LEED Platinum certification.
INSIDE & OUT Current plans call for a mix of 3-BRM suites and 2- and 4-BRM apartments, a shaded courtyard with outdoor meeting and assembly space, and Resource Center.
