LGBTQ+ Affirming Homes for Transitional Age Youth

West Hollywood, CA

COMMUNITY FIRST  Supporting the growth, health, and safety of LGBTQ+ affirming youth, this building is designed with a community-first mindset. Facade stepping enables units to have light and air on two sides while creating contextual exterior proportions to fit the neighborhood.

A SAFE HOME  The architecture enhances safety by providing spaces for refuge and community. An entry that is set back from the main road creates privacy. Common spaces are layered throughout the project, with publicly accessible open spaces, community serving ground floor spaces, and community spaces on each floor level for the residents.

MEANINGFUL COLOR  A rainbow of colors inclusively celebrates the Transitional Age Youth population housed and served by the building. This includes a striking light pink corner, blue and purple accented windows, and smaller touches of the Pride Rainbow.
