Della Strada Jesuit Community Residence

Gonzaga University, Spokane, WA

ENHANCING SOCIAL INTERACTION  Organized around a central courtyard, the new Residence features flexible, hospitable spaces for the Jesuits and their many guests.

BALANCING PRIORITIES  Clearly identified by the prominent chapel as a religious house, the design balances the importance of communal life with the need to privately study, reflect and rest.

ACTIVELY ENGAGED WITH THE CONTEXT  Diagonally across from Gonzaga’s iconic St. Aloysius Church, the Jesuits’ new home reflects the importance of the Society in the founding and ongoing mission of the University as well as their active role in Spokane’s educational and religious life.
