UCLA Nimoy Theater

Los Angeles, CA

NEW LIFE FOR A FADING GEM  In rehabilitating this 1940s theater, BAR revisited its own landmarked Art Deco renovation to give this vacant movie theater new energy as a live-performance venue for UCLA’s Center for the Art of Performance.

A NEW RESOURCE FOR WESTWOOD  Named for actor Leonard Nimoy, the performance theater is now a vital new presence in Westwood, bringing memorable and transformative experiences to this active neighborhood.

FUNCTIONAL, FLEXIBLE & ADAPTABLE  Within the historic décor, an enlarged lobby, lounge and support spaces enhance the audience experience while flexible seating, an expandable stage and state-of-the-art production systems maximize opportunities for artistic expression by innovative performers.
