“Wear your learning, like your watch… Do not pull it out merely to show that you have one. If asked what o’clock it is, tell it; but do not proclaim it hourly and unasked...”
— Lord Chesterfield

Three words to describe your design style:
Practical, affordable, timeless.

Architect, living or dead, with whom you would love to talk shop with?
Louis Kahn – his architecture is rooted in a profound understanding of historical precedents. I share his belief that "what was, has always been. What is, has always been. And what will be, has always been. Such is the nature of beginning.”

What advice would you give to a new architect?
1. Keep things simple; 2. Have at least 2 strong design ideas in every project; 3. Think about the long-term impact that your design has on the environment.

What makes really great design?
Great design should look effortless, elevate your senses, not only stand the test of time but made better by it.
