“Creativity is a wild mind and a disciplined eye.” — Dorothy Parker
When did you know you wanted to be an architect?
About a year or two after joining BAR (which was after 5 years of school, 7 years of working at other architectural firms, and passing all the licensure exams). Being an architect is as much about what we do as finding the right group of people to do it with.
Three words to describe your design style: Pragmatic, Quiet. Warm.
What is your favorite building in SF and why?
City Hall. It’s a public and functioning symbol of this city where anyone can take a moment under its dome or on its steps to feel the awe and wonder of our history and our future.
