What is your favorite building?
My favorite building has to be Grand Central Station – I love the vast space in this historic landmark. It reminds me that we used to build grand monuments like the Pyramid, and the Great Wall of China.
What are some of your sources for inspiration?
1. The Big Picture of the Boston Globe – I love photography and this is where I get my inspiration. The pictures here are real, raw, and in your face. 2. Dieter Rams – I love Industrial Design and Dieter Rams is one of my favorite designers. His timeless and clean-lined design reminds me that form does follow function. 3. Animated features by noted Japanese director Hayao Miyazaki – all of his work is painstakingly hand drawn and the stories are beautifully told.
